Default Plexus - inside, outside, both?

Ok, I just picked up my new (to me) '00 and everything is perfect except I can't see out the rear window AT ALL. If and when I can manage to find plexus, where do I use it on the window? Inside? Outside? Both?

Thanks!

Both. After you do the inside, you'll probably wish that I had said "outside only." But the inside does get clouded by the "outgassing" of solvents, etc. from materials in the interior.

It's my impression that Plexus is best suited for routine cleaning. You may want to investigate the Meguair's Plastic Cleaner (more aggressive) and Plastic Polish (less aggressive). I believe they're numbers 10 and 17, but I may be off on that.

I'd use these to really clear up the window, then use Plexus or something like it for regular cleanings.

I've seen these products at boat dealers. I also found the "303 Protectant" and a vinyl cleaner for the top at the boat dealer.

PS: only use cotton or microfiber towels that you would feel were safe for you paint on the plastic window.

Thanks! I think I'll start with the outside and see how well it clears up. Then "work my way inwards".

After you get the window polished up and cleared up, you might consider this:

Well, I couldn't find Plexus, but I found some other brand of plexiglass cleaner. Worked pretty well except that I couldn't comfortably reach the corners of the window. I can see out of it though!!!

Xviper, thanks for the heads up on the tint, but I'll probably leave my hardtop on 95% of the time anyway (once I get it installed), so I'm not gonna worry about it.

You can also locate a bunch of car care products (like Plexus) at www.properautocare.com. I use Plexus on the outside as well as the inside; plus, I use it for the front and real light housings.

Thanks! Unfortunately I needed it ASAP this time, but I'll remember that next time I need something.
