Afternoon all

As some of you know, I'm fighting with my local stealers to get a replacement roof due to tears just below my shoulder line, above the door (ie where the frame meets the body of the car). I've noticed a LOT of threads recently about torn roofs and I'd like to get an idea of the number of us who have had this problem, so I can tell the stealers and/or Honda UK if they don't play ball.

If you've found a tear in your roof in this area, please can you add your name to the list below, along with your model year and the end result (replaced under warranty/paid for yourself/gaffer tape/whatever).

Yes mine is torn both sides, noticed a few days ago Spoke to Honda HO who wouldnt help as vehicle 5 years old. Bought Second hand 04 Glass scren hood & will try to do myself.

 

When I bought my MY03 from the UK, it was 2 years old and it had a small tear, on the off side, on top of where the rail is bend. The hood looks and is brand new (~14k miles) but it's torn. I never bothered with Honda Cyprus, despite the international warranty. I shall be replacing it in the near future...

Mine is wearing through in exactly the same spot. Have yet to take it to Honda though - will do within the next six months. My car is MY04.

Ciderboy - small tear is the same place on drivers side. Recently got worse when tape inside came off with out me noticing. Have bought a fix kit from Halfords and will see how that helps in a few weeks. Not been to dealers as it only developed once >3 years old.
