it is not water resistant and it is best as a dust cover.
i love it so much that i have two!! but i am in an area where it does not rain and my car is almost never parked outside.
the honda cover is very well padded (good at reducing side dings) and very soft on the inside. my top is always down, so it acts as a theft deterent too (keeps hands outa the car!).
but it does keep my car looking freshly detailed at all times.

the instructions even say to wash it and put it on the car to dry!!!
