I with Utah S2K, they do both... If I was you I'll make one myself cause it really isn't worth the $100.00-$150.00, especially if you can cut and make one yourself. I just got my C-west carbon fiber cooling plate, looks nice but cheap and I think I paid too much for it but it does the job .

To make it yourself is there a template that we can follow?
Also can you use that Radmat material that one of the fellow S2K owners made that i found somewhere on this forum??

You can always measure the opening and cut a piece that fits the opening part perfect, after that you can cut away all the pieces that you don't need or do need in order to bolt it up or screw it in. What I would do is go to home depot and get a thin sheet of aluminum and cut away at that, it's pretty easy to bend aluminums too so that'll help out.

As for carbon fiber or aluminum? That'll be up to you since that'll only be for look on that part, they both cool the same way. Carbon fiber is a bit lighter in weight but that's only if you're super (and I do mean super) crazy about not adding weight to the car, if you are then you should get it in the first place. I'll probably paint it yellow to match my engine parts anyway, either way I need it cause I accidently broke the stock plastic peice that goes there when I'd removed my front bumper.

Both works the same, one is slightly lighter than the other but that's it. If you could cover that area where the cooling plate goes without getting one then it'll work the same as well if not better, the purpose of the cooling plate is so that air rushing in goes directly through the radiator and not over it. With that being said it'll helps out more with the extra air passing through the radiator, the more air flows through the radiator the cooler it gets. Simple as that...
