Actually I just finished installing that on my car at 2 in the morning today. I got it directly from cabrioworld.com instead of ebay though.

It looks great and as far as I can tell it will work great also, I just haven't gotten the tray and paneling in so I'm not going to put the top down yet. With the top up it looks just like it does in the picture. I'll try to have some pics of mine up later today or maybe tomorrow.

How difficult was the install (special skills? Special tools?)?

How long did it take you?

Any other comments that would be helpful for those considering this?

Thanks!

It took me about a day and a half, total time. I like to take my time plus I get sidetracked so it really spread out over 4 days.

The install was not difficult at all. I took the entire frame out of the car, which I found out after everything was done that I didn't have to. That would have saved half a day of labor.

If you do look at this route and plan on doing it yourself just make sure you take your time with it and get everything done correctly. Pictures up within the hour!!!

As you can see from the pics there is a slight wave in the top on both sides. I'm going to call up the company and see what they say about it. Otherwise I'm very impressed with this product.

It really does look pretty good!! I got a top with holes all over it right now, (factory shit) I tried several time AHM to get it replaced, but they declined me, so I think I am going to do what you did.

The only thing that I would be concerned about as well would be that slight wave effect that you have on both sides... Let us know what you find out.
Thanks for the pics!

the cabrioworld one is canvas is it not?

give these guys some credit. that small wave on an aftermarket top is a pretty good implementation nonetheless.

I noticed the same thing.

Many S2k owners think that our top is fabric, but it's really vinyl.

So I wonder about other issues with a fabric top vs. our vinyl.

Also, how much was saved by going with this top over a replacement '02 honda top?

This cost somewhere around $700. How much is the honda top?

Maybe the canvas will be more durable than the factory vinyl...

I am seriously looking into doing this myself...

Hello, I purchased th cabrioworld top myself. I just had it professionally installed about 2 weeks ago. There are no waves as shown in the earlier pictures.
Top on Ebay cost me $685 and I paid $600 for install. I thought it was worth it.
I dont have a camera at the moment but will try to post pics in future. Anyone in the CT area who would like to check it out.. let me know.

The top is Canvas.

Thanks.
