Car hunting, stalling and Engine light on
I've finally found out how to check the ECU for codes.
The engine light flashes 7 times (all equal) and the EPS flashes 3 times (all equal).
Does this mean both
3 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor
&
7 TPS - throttle position sensor
The filter needs replacing as it's filthy (K&N on the way), could this be the issue?

I though it was just the EPS that displayed the error code?

If the EPS flashes 3 times it will be the MAP - and the most likely cause of the car stalling. This can cause a TPS error in my experience, but the MAP is the likely culprit IMO.

I thought it was just the EPS too, but my engine light was flacshing away too.
I took the MAP sensor off, gave it a tap or three and a bit of a blow
Seems to be a load better now .. just need to reset the ECU to get rid of the light. What fuse am I after? It's a Jap import and all the labels are not even "engrish".
I'll just disconnect the battery otherwise.

It's the third fuse down on the right - 7.5A IIRC.
You can disconnect the negative terminal - that's what I do whenever I'm installing a new mod and then just connect it up again - but you'll need your radio code and have to set the radio stations again.

The Radio is in a box in the spare room .. the Alpine seems to have no issues when the battery is taken out.
It's just a PITA to have to get a socket set out to get rid of an orange light.

The socket set was in ref to disconnecting the battery.
It was a total PITA to work out how to get the OBD2 connector to flash the code. I did loads of searches and really got nowhere.
So here is is for any others.
It's the left most, rear most pin hole in the connector on the RHS of the passenger foot well (near where the passengers knee would be). Earth that pin and then look at the EPS light on the dash.
