Default Has this site suddenly gotten more ads?

So is it just me, or are there suddenly a lot more ads here? I understand they need to make money to run the site, but having weight loss banners scrolled everywhere along with the text links (highlighted words linking to ads) is disappointing.

I guess I thought of this as a "grass-roots" style website, and to see it head this way sours that image.

Thoughts? Comments? Smart Remarks?

(I guess you could consider weight loss as a performance upgrade....)

Here's a comment - buy a Gold Membership - a number of the ads are suppressed.

Members and Gold Members see much less, if anything near, to what guests see. And S2000 Talk is the wrong forum for this thread - moving now.

I'm a "guest" at many, many other websites and forums. As a "guest", I have absolutely NO RIGHT to complain. If I feel "disappointed" at the way the site is presented, I can simply stop going there. Funny thing about "freebies", you get what you get. Another way of looking at it: If I'm a guest on a site and I get free information and enjoyment out of it and I have to put up with however the owners of those sites may present them (including popups, ads, etc.), it's a small price to pay to get the information and enjoyment that I DIDN'T pay for.
