Default Well, she is done

I have today and tomorrow off, so I was leaving town to get to Olathe and go to the gym...take care of some errands, etc. Shifted from 1st to 2nd at about 5K....click. Engine stops.

Towed it in to Frank Ancona and had them take a look at her. Turns out that one of the valves broke off, dropped into the cylinder....tore up the cylinder wall and the piston head. So, my engine is done.....and I am probably out of the S2000 world for a while due to the financial implications. I owe money on the car, and I can not afford putting $9500 into it at this point....so I have to figure out how to get out of this car and into something else without killing my wife and I's financial situation, which is not great to begin with.

What a lovely Monday....

There may be light at the end of the tunnel Julz!!

I have some folks in Topeka, plus Angel, doing some checking around to find me an engine. It is a good possibility that I can get this done for less than half of what Frank Ancona wants for it....by the way, I am not taking my car there ever again.

I may not have my car at the MHR, but I WILL BE THERE. Even if I have to hitch a ride with someone....

Hang in there buddy...we got your back!!

I got a couple of calls into VA and into FL...I "think" we can get one for around $ 3,000...

I know it is extremely frustrating and you feel like complete and absolute ass...however, you will see, things will get better and you will spring up bigger and better.

Now, whatever you decide to do I am sure everyone will support you 100% so be responsible with the family first and foremost and everything else will fall in place.

Well, pretty much the decision has been made to replace the motor by diligently searching for a replacement with the right price tag.

It is the most economically feasible for me....now I just need to find an engine and someone to install it.

I am thinking about selling my extra set of AP1 wheels so I can buy an exhaust though.

Instead of pouting and sitting on my ass, I decided to pout and detail Austin's Rav4.

Believe it or not, ya'll, I had not cleaned my car since Thursday night due to the weather forecast for the weekend. The plan was to come home from Olathe this morning and THEN wash it. That did not exactly work out.

Here is my wife's Rav in its Knight Rider gleaminess:

This side of the garage is...umm....a bit empty.

Check out this article in import tuner. The guy picked up a complete Spoon F20C engine for $10K. Instead of dropping $9.5K at Franky's place in Olathe you should put that money toward the Spoon engine and call on your friends for install help.
I imagine it's got the higher compression and would require higher than available octane. Mmmmm, Spoon engine.
