OMG! I put 1000 miles on my s2k, and I burnt through 1 1/2 quarts!!! OMG...that doesnt feel good...

that's pretty normal, i have 2400 miles, used 3.0 full quarts

During the first few thousand miles, it is not unusual to have some oil useage. I would gues that the majority of the folks on this board experienced the same thing; I know I did. It's normal.

Is anyone out there with over 6k miles and still burning oil? This is all making me too nervous!

I am at 2200 miles and burned 1 quart. It is supposed to stop somewhere around 5000 miles I believe.

I was burning oil after 6k mi because the engine wasn't broken in when I changed to synthetic oil.
