This thread is to see if there is enough interest for MVP & Fossil to make a custom S2000 watch using the S2000 9,000 RPM tach as the dial. We did a custom watch for the Supra community and it turned out AWESOME and sold out in a few months.
Here is a *rough* outline of what the details:
Custom watch from the ground up, we can use virtually any base model Fossil watch. Everyone seems to love the one shown in the above thread. Its very sport & modern & a fairly good size.
The dial would be a replica of the S2000 9K RPM Tachometer. The exact design will be sorted out later with the Fossil Custom Projects department. It will definitely be a classy design.
We have to make at least 500, that's the minimum for this kind of custom order (and likely I wouldn't be willing to make more than 500 to reduce my financial risk). Each one would have its own unique serial number engraved on the back. These would be made 1 time & 1 time only, period. So you would definitely own a special piece of S2K history.
We can do a light so the "tach" lights up at night, it will raise the cost on the watch right about $10 each.
We can do the chosen model of Fossil watch in any one color on the face and on the band. We can do silver or gunmetal or black or whatever the final vote is. We can't make everyone 100% happy here so we'll just go with the most popular vote (I'll run a poll later if there is enough interest here).
The case / tin will also be a custom design from the ground up and can be done in any color as well. Again details & pre-production art would be shown for our community approval.
All Fossil watches carry an 11 year warranty and you would be able to get is sized for free at any authorized Fossil dealer. Please read the thread I linked at the top of my post for all the details on the Fossil warranty, etc.
Cost would be similar to the other custom projects we've done with Fossil.
If we do it with no "light up" feature I'm thinking $109.95 per watch.
With the light up feature lets say $119.95.

So that's the general idea behind the watch. What does everyone in general think? Please vote based on the estimate price & design idea. Please do not vote that you would buy one or more if you really will not.
We likely will take deposits from the community to help get the project started. Of course those making a deposit would receive a discount or a coupon at MVP or something.
