Nice Mugen pieces. I'll spend my money first on Mugen headers, though.

Yikes. I can't imagine paying 5K for a hard-top. After all, didn't we all pay a PREMIUM to get this ROADSTER in the first place?

I like the hood and I like the hard top. I bet both cost an absolute fortune, however.

Thanks for the pictures. The Mugen HT is just 6 pounds lighter than the OEM, and is, IMO, godawful ugly. It really looks tacked on.

I like the hood

The hardtop is ok but too sloped at the rear, IMO. The OEM one looks just right

I saw the photos of the Mugen top awhile back, I think it's pretty ugly.

I'd rather get MG Racing's (Giampiero's) carbon fiber Hardtop as it's much better looking and has technical advantages over the Mugen one. My understanding is that the MG Racing top is more of a matte black, like the soft top. Not the glossy black of the Mugen top.

MG Racing's top has a real glass rear window and defroster. The Mugen has only plexi glass and no defroster. For me a big reason to get a hardtop is to get away from easily scratched plastic rear windows.

In addition the Mugen top weighs 34 lbs, only a 6 lb benefit over the Honda aluminum hardtop. The MG Racing top weighs only 19 lbs.

The kicker however is price, the Mugen top is going be in the $5,000 range, too rich for my blood. Giampiero's talking about making the MG Racing top available in the $4,000 range. Still a bit too expensive I think, but more palatable. The Dollar is very, very strong against the DM right now, maybe it will get a bit stronger and lower the price a bit more.
