Default Ran a modded SRT-4 tonight....

I ran an SRT-4 with exhaust, intake and boost controller (boosting 23psi instead of the stock 15psi)...here's how it went down:

We were going down a 2 lane highway on our way to a new 'hang out'. He pulled up next to me and stayed at my side, so i figured he wanted to go. We were doing about 65mph or so. When I heard him downshift, I put it into 3rd and took off. I immediately pulled a car on him and it stayed that way for to 130mph. Now, normally I would be impressed (and i still was to an extent i guess), but here's the thing:

We got a BIG cold front in florida (45 degrees tonight) and as some of you know, the NSX locks out VTEC when the temp goes below the little blue bar...so the whole time I was racing him I was shifting at 6,200rpms!!! And then to top that off, at 60mph, I could throw it into 2nd, but since my clutch is slippin, I put it into third just to be safe...now, if i had it in 2nd and could rev to 8, I think I would have murdered him, but I'm not sure.

It was fun none-the-less. Couldn't get a race going when my car was warmed up all the way which really sucks, but oh well. It takes my car 30 minutes to get to the point where I can run it all the way to 8k in this cold!!!!! But once it gets to that point, it LOVES it!!

It takes you 30 minutes to get warmed up? Do you have a stock thermostat?

ya, why? it takes less time if the cars standing still, but iwth the wind coming in through the engine bay and all i guess, it takes alot longer...30 minutes might be exaggerated, but i've driven a good 10 miles before and it was still cold.

I have a 160 deg thermostat (stock is 190+ I think) and it takes me about 7-8 minutes of driving around or about 12-15 minutes of idling to get to perfect operating temps.

uh, every car I have had warmed up faster when you actually drove it. You do know that you have to spend two minutes with the throttle to the floor for every one minute you idle, right?
