Default Hurricane Isabel

To all our Mid-A members: If you have been following the weather news, we are in for a bad Thurs and Fri (and maybe beyond). Current projections have Hurricane Isabel hitting Va Beach directly on Thurs. and coming up the Chesapeake Bay. By the time it reaches Baltimore, it will still have sustained winds of 100-120 mph. Also torrential rains. Please prepare for this storm. It is going to be serious...Good luck and keep everyone posted on how you are, if possible.

Prepare... definitely! But storms have a mind of their own. Let's hope this one dissipates before delivering any major damage.

Based on the current forecast, the Bahamas will be untouched, but watchout if you are in or near the NC Outer Banks or VA tidewater areas because you are forecasted to take a direct hit on Thursday! See http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/track...00313_5day.html. Be careful all!

Deb

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going to put a link to this in the Metro NYC forum.

If this storm takes a slight right turn it will hit the Delmarva Peninsula full on. So any of you who are in that area, please take heed. There is concern that people in this area are not well prepared for such a storm, unlike people in the Carolinas who have had them fairly often. I have also heard talk of evacuation of the Delmarva Peninsula if the storm heads that way. I believe this decision will be made Tues.
