For those who want to see/post results from today....
BTW, it would be nice if you could post your mods, too.

Here are my results:

Gah, what a lot of work.

Comparison charts (like Viper vs Z06, RSX vs S2000 vs Prelude, etc.) will be forthcoming.

HOLY SHIZNOT!!!!
Great work, Mark!! Damn, talk about dedication to the club!!! You went all out on your website!

I urge you all to check out the results!

Damn, I KNEW that Z06 had to be significantly modded. His numbers were way too good to be relatively stock.

Great work Mark! I wish I could have stayed all day. I'm glad you posted the charts and pictures - I really wanted to see a SC S2000.

Thanks for all the hard work!

I second (third, fourth?) the thanks to Elistan for posting the dyno charts & pics. Also, a big thanks to Gernby for setting up the event.

Speaking of the S/C S2K, it sounded like it was detonating a bit at higher RPMs. I'd recommend pulling the spark plugs to see how badly, then give a call to Comptech for some tech help. Just some friendly advice...

I was pretty pleased to see my $215 intake picked up ~14HP at the wheels compared to my baseline run at Intercrew. Now I just need some $$$ so I can get up to ~200WHP to keep up with you S2K boys at track events!

I wonder if the SC'd S2000 has OEM plugs in it. If so, he should get some IK27s or IK24s.

Ryan and Gernby, we're already on it. I think my dad is supposed to talk to Comptech today or tomorrow. The plugs are OEM. When we bought the SC comptech never made any suggestions about changing anything else on the car. Thank you for the plug suggestions, we will definitely look into those!

Ryan, does intercrew run the same model and series Dynojet at their shop as the one we tested on? There are many different Dynomometers out there that give different hp ratings (varying accuracy). The dyno at Speedworks is supposed to be one of the accurate (better) ones.

Cubic,

If you have the OEM plugs, you should order a set of IK27's from here. If the IK27's foul out, you will know that they are too cold, and you should get the IK24's. The only real way to know which plug is right is to start with the coldest, and work your way back (hotter). The colder plugs don't have less potent of a spark, they just cool down quicker. This helps prevent detonation, but if it is too cold, it will build up deposits and foul out. Vortech recommends going at least one step colder (IK24), but a lot of Vortech owners use the IK27.
