total production looks to be around 17,500
weather or not actual production ends in 2002
or 2003 the total U.S. figures are in the 17,500 to 18,000 range. The reason I know this.....well, all I can say is I have a "friend" at Honda. This person runs in the finance area at Honda, and thier projections are more science than a guess. Believe me, they know how much they're making (you'd be shocked on the s2k) in quarterly figures several years in advance (barring any disaster of course). I was told this figure..so I calculated what our total production would be. And on a side note, development of the s2 has more to do with thier new plant in China. Fill in the blanks..

no s2000s from china. but everyone was right Honda did'nt develop the s2k without mass production in mind. Although, not in current or even close to current form. As for the rumor part. I'm not sure what kind of car they will be building, but I do know for a fact the qrtly projected results, and numbers don't lie. FYI the honda s2000 has the largest markup of any honda ever made. but still a great deal!
