Default Recall Rumours get Stronger "Wheels"

All

Last night was invited to the New Accord launch (nice car).

I was talking to a friend (he works for Honda) and he was saying that Honda UK are going to recall ALL 00/01 wheels and replace them with the 02 wheels in the spring. They have said that they will also give a 5 year guarantee.

THEY SHOULD!...

my 01`s replaced in Oct are starting to corrode very slightly again. Thats after 1.2k miles in the Autumn over 3 months, which to be honest, is a joke.

I hope you are right about this.

Already seen the new accord types S at my local dealer and it looks alot bigger and more aggressive than the older one.

Suppose it would be quite a nice second car.

I will be getting my wheels changed very soon if they keep on going at the rate they are at the moment.

be interesting to see if the new ones stand the test of time as mine are MY02

I hope it's true.

He works for the technical dept.

He also said not to say anything but because we are a close community I thought WTH.

With regard to the Accord, it's a much bigger car than the last one and they are hoping it will do better than the Audi A4.

Damo

I would suggest ringing Honda UK customer service, and say that your wheels are corroding and you want them replaced.

This sounds true to me, I know that when Gibbo bought mine off me a couple of weeks ago, he called Ashford Honda regarding replacement wheels and they mentioned a complete recall.

Mine are due to be replaced. The dealer said she was waiting for a 'bulletin' from Honda so I guess that's why it's taking a while.

Not in a hurry as I have a trackday in a coupla weeks and wanna do that on the old rims in case I damage them in anyway.
