Default Go on... I dare you

I've had to leave my S2000 in my Dad's garage for three days now . I'm driving a friends CRV whilst looking after her shop.

So what?

So, this is the first time in 7 months that I've not driven the S in the same 24-hour period. Jeez, it's hard, guys. How do you cope?

Mind you, if you've not tried this and you're a daily driver, it's probably worth a go. Makes you appreciate it more I suppose...

I travel a lot on business.

I use hire cars a lot.

Hire cars are a special breed of car that anyone lucky enough to have never driven one just can't have low enough expectations of.

Landing back at Glasgow airport on a summers eve, after driving a three cylinder diesel luggage cart all week, getting in the car, dropping the roof, driving the back roads home through the gloaming. I just can't describe it properly - but it's kind of:

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

and

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oo

and

siggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

and

KERRANNGGGGWOLLLLLOPTHRASHHHHHHHHHHHZINGGGGGYEEEEE EEEEHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

... in a good way

absence makes the heart grow fonder,

I regularly have to part company with my car for business trips, but you always really appreciate how special it is when you get it back after driving other bits and bobs.

You get used to the short gearshift in Honda,

I drive a Fiesta diesel a lot of the time - keeps the wear and tear and miles off the S2000.
It certainly make me appreciate the S far more - every time I swap back to it after a few days in the Fiesta it feels like a rocket.

Company cars should be banned as they bring the worst out of people.
Its not your car or insurance so who cares

Before i get this excludes S company cars.
