I don't know if anyone else saw it this morning on the Today Show, but there's a website up called \"Hugs to Kuwait\". Basically you adopt a soldier who is off fighting for our country and send them e-mails. I think it's a GREAT idea if you have some time (aside from surfiing s2ki.com) and send a soldier who misses their family a letter, and a good luck from "Home".

The original poster wanted to send a message of support to the men and women who serve the US military and you take a cheap shot and disparage them by attacking US policy.

I don't mind that you have a beef with the Bush administration or its policies. I just think you should be considerate enough to voice that beef in an appropriate forum. (By the way that forum isn't here at S2Ki.com since politics are taboo).

The unfortunate thing about the internet is that it doesn't offer a filter for common sense or common decency.

Innocent bystanders??? HA! RIGHT! Are those the same innocent bystanders that killed the actual "innocent" in the WTC? the Planes? and the Pentagon? The same ones who CHEERED in the streets? Give me a break and think out your head and not your @$$! These people are out to get us... and for some reason they hate us. Sit down and actually listen to whats going on, listen to the things that are happening in the news. Worry more about the INNOCENT SOLDIER fighting for the freedom you so graciously appreciate. Don't worry so much about the people who hate us americans so damn much.

OK PEOPLE PLEASE... I really DO NOT want to see this thread wasted and locked because of a political discussion over the possible war in Iraq. The original purpose of this thread is clear and its intent is very simple.

As a reminder to those of you that are against certain policies or the decision of our government, you can argue all you want, but DO NOT ever forget that its the men and women of the United States Military who are proudly protecting your right and freedom to do so.
