Default FOR SALE: Alpine CDA-7977 Head unit

FOR SALE: Alpine CDA-7977 Head unit

Just upgraded to a newer Alpine head unit and I would like to make some bucks back on my replaced one, and shine on a local member before I go the eBay route!

It is a year and a half old ,2nd from the top of the line model. XM ready (which by the way is awesome I just got it with my new one! )

THIS IS A PREAMP ONLY!!! YOU WILL NEED AN EXTERNAL AMPLIFIER!

This unit originally retailed for $550 I will let it go for $275 locally OBO, it aint doing me any good collecting dust!

It is in perfect condition, except the paint is wearing off on the one search button from me incessantly trying to find a radio station without a talking head on it! All the more reason to get the XM tuner to go with this fine unit!

Here is some technobabble about it:
Along with its stylish looks and awesome technology, this 4V, 3 PreOut unit gives you total system and sound personalization. The Bass Engine Plus allows contouring to your own sound preference and tastes. This unit even offers Versatile Link which allows you to add an MP3 player, VCR, DVD or even Video Game sound to your system. The attractive blue LEDs and silver finish complement the high-tech look.

Please PM me with questions or offers!
Thanks

Yes, any aftermarket head unit will disable the controls! But its SIMPLE all you need is this to make them work again!!!

A decent amp is $200-$300

Jerry, I think Crutchfield sells adapters to convert the stock controls to work but it depends on the head unit. A decent 4 channel amp can be had for less than 400$, even cheaper off Ebay if you trust it. I could even show you how to connect it all up if need be.

Come on Jerry , drop some of that hard earned $$ and become one of the I.C.E. fans! Just save some money for new speakers also. You wont even believe the garbage quality of the OEM ones when you pull them out! Probably the cheapest thing on our cars!!

.......then we get your bumper painted and you are ready for the show circuit!!!!!!

Nice offer Paul! I would love to help Jerry spend some money also!
