The competitors: Enzo Ferrari and '70 Plymouth Roadrunner (440 six-pack)

And they're off! The Roadrunner loses ground due to massive wheelspin; Enzo gets the jump...



As soon as his tires hook up, the Mopar begins to reel in the Ferrari.



But will he have enough time? Shifting into 3rd gear and the Enzo is still a nose ahead.



It's gonna be close!



Uh oh...!



And oh! The Roadrunner is pulling on the Enzo!



But did he edge out the Enzo?!? It's too close to call...



We'll need a photo finish...





And the Roadrunner wins it! He wins it! What an upset!

 

If it was the Superbird I'd believe it. Otherwise the photo's look faked.
