Here's my situation. I can purchase a used 00 with decent mileage or pay a few grand more for a used 02. I know the 02's have the glass rear window but I was planning on getting a hardtop anyway. Are there any other differences, I heard something about a suspension adjustment. You input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

02+ has:

-stiffer suspension
-improved transmission
-improved engine(new oil jet bolts or something like that)
-glass rear window
-5 more whp, proven by a dyno
-theres a lot more but u can search for the rest.

 

I would get the '02 if you can swing it.

 

"02" also has leather center console not carpet, better clutch, better radio with tweeters, two horns instead of just one and on and on! Go with the "02"

 

Be sure to figure a higher resale for the '02 when you consider the comparative costs.

 

It's really a question that only you can answer, but if you can afford it; the 2002 would be the way to go.

I never noticed the plate on the doorsills were different.
