Default Damn it! I was rear-ended this morning...

... Got rear-ended by a 4-Runner of all things !!!

I made it into work okay, but I've got an appointment to take The Bruised Banana down to West Broad Honda's body shop this morning to see how much damage has been done. The Toyota scraped the top of my rear bumper because of its height...we never really "met" bumper-to-bumper. Right off the bat, the trunk is toast, left and right brakelight assemblies will have to be replaced, rear fenders on both sides are buckled at points here and there (I don't know *how* that will be repaired/replaced ), and the fuel door release won't work the way everything is all crimped up. Basically the entire rear end.

Damn it! Why can't people pay attention when they drive!!!! At least I can report that I was far enough away of the fellow in front of me that I didn't, in turn, rear-end him. So all the damage is just to my rear.

Sorry -- I'd be throwing up and dying You really do have a "bruised banana" now -- I'll be interested to know how the repairs go -- Thinking of you and the nana from the Burg (lynchburg VA).

Sorry to hear that man! Make sure you pick an EXCELLENT body shop and don't take what his insurance company gives you.

On a side note...good to hear that you weren't hurt!

I know that sick feeling, but yours sounds much worse! The good part is that you're okay, well... as "okay" as you can be. We are both glad that you were not injured.

Wasn't your trunk a painted CF one from Evolution? Hope it gets done in time for the Dragon/OBX!

I'm sorry you were in an accident this morning I'm glad you're OK though! Sounds like it's going to be a really hefty insurance claim. Make sure you go straight through his/her company, don't even bother with yours (they'll charge you your deductable and raise rates). I would also check with the body shop and see how much it would cost for a replacement trunk + painting... you CAN probably get the cf trunk out of it.

anyway, hope your day gets better...

Evan...

ps. you can always ride shotgun in my car
