I understand it will go under the driver or passenger seat..for me that will be the best sice it doesnt take away any room.....also im sure it'll be the cheapest solution..im not into spending huge $$ on a sound system for my car...

My dealer showed me one today... it's the same unit they're putting in the Odyssey minivans, the Kelton Bassworks sub. It's self-powered, and goes under the passenger seat. We didn't take it apart, so I don't know if it contains an 8" cone or some kind of exotic-shaped speaker. It's basically a vented box, about 9" by 3" by 14". I don't know how many watts it has in its little self-contained amp, and they haven't received pricing on it yet, but I heard somewhere that the part itself will retail for $299.00 (USD), with installation additional (yikes!). Aside from the final price, they were still waiting for the S2K floor mounting brackets which, not surprisingly, are different from the Odyssey's. If it's true that it's $299.00 PLUS install, they're insane. One can get a custom-made enclosure for the trunk, an 8" or 10" sub and a dedicated amp for that much or less.

to be honest, I'd spend the 3 bills and get one that will go under the seat. The trunk is small enough as it is, I'd have to lose the space... this past weekend showed me how small the trunk truely is.

I just bought the Clarion PSW 160 for under the seat, 100 watts, 60 continuous, 6 inch. I got it for 149.00 cash, another owner has one and likes it.
