Well, at the honda dealership yesturday, my girlfriend bought a 1998 civic EX 2dr, and I was talking to the usuall sales man that I always do. He says that the S2200 is coming out next year only in coupe form and with 250 hp.

I am having trouble believing him, anyone else herd of this?

This would make the convertable a little more rare

What are you peoples opinions on the coupe and no convertable? I personally don't like it. And I would be happy to own the previous convertable form.

 

i asked a sales guy about this yesterday when I test drove an S but he said he hadn't heard anything although this salesman was shoving so much into his pitch that I didn't believe half the stuff he said.

 

Yeah, most sales men don't know shit form their ass hole. I go to dealerships and know at least 10 times as much as they do. They sit there and tell me things and I go uh huh, cool, yep. One time, I busted up laughing because this uy was bsing soooo much. I seriously doubt the S2200 will be out next year, but oh well, was just wondering what you guys thought.

 

get this, one time this guy is telling me all the stuff i already know, 240hp (obviously doesn't mention torque), 6-speed, push button start you know. I was just like cool, then he starts blabing about vtec, valve timing emissions control right, i'm like uh huh, okay, than he tells me he will sell me a 2001 used one with 23K miles for 29K and that he is giving me a deal (the new ones only 3K more, how am I getting a deal ???). I was like can we go for a test drive, he was delighted, we took it for a test drive (awesome experience, vtec ahhhhhhhhhhhhh) finally got him to shut up, then he says, you haven't asked me to turn on the radio so you must like the sound of the engine. What a Line!!! We got back to the lot and I asked him what the top speed is, I figured 155-160mph, and he said you could probably get it to 200mph, I laughed and walked away. but hey i test drove it right.

I do have a video of an s2k hitting 176 mph. Don't know what modifications if any that it had.

 

Post the video, I pretty sure some of us would like to see it.

 

I would love to, but I have NO idea how. I would be willing to send it to someone so they could post it if they want.

Oh and its in kmh in the video, 281 kmh. I have not dont the change over to mph myself, but when I got the video it was titled, "Honda S2000 top speed 176 mph"
