Sounds to me like it was harder to find a driver willing to do the 1/4 mile in it than it was to do it in under 9. Looks like another future Darwin award winner.

That's got to be ONE HELL of a rush sitting on the front of that thing doing 180MPh!!

Somehow that rollcage doesn't look like it woud fare well hitting the wall at 180MPH either.

 

You haven't seen the 200 mph karts that run on peroxide?

 

I can't believe he doesn't have a fairing in front of him. The drag he's putting up is huge (not to mention he's got to have a hard time staying still in the seat). That's just straight up stupid. Can you imagine doing 180mph without any protection for your body from the wind?

 

Dragcycles do this all the time (no protection i mean). The run in the 6 seconds....

Yeah, but have you driven a kart? The view with your butt an inch off the ground is really different than on even a low-slung bike. And the 6-second bike riders are crazy too.

 

do you think they see anything at that speed? I bet they get tunnel vision from the g forces pushing their eyes back I guess its what scares you the most. Your butt inches of the ground or riding a missile head first. Really, neither of the ride with enough protection. Somehow though, it seems more acceptable to do this on a bike.
