NYC Auto Show Pics

Click on the "My Photos" folder and then click on the "NYC_Auto_Show_2001" folder. Enjoy.
A few observations:
1. The Mini is awesome. Way cooler than I expected.
2. The Aston Vanquish is automotive perfection.
3. How do people fit into Diablos?
4. Panoz Esperante is a great looking convertible. Probably lots of fun to drive.
5. The M3 cabrio looks aweful with the top up.
6. All american cars (other than the Panoz) suck. The american concept cars are pathetic.
7. RSX? RX-8? Z? These cars look goofy, like the new Celica. Zero sophistication. Appropriate for the 16-21 year old crowd.
8. The Lexus convertible looks like an Audi TT with the interior of a Lincoln Continental. No thanks.
9. The Infinity Q45 is the most underrated luxury vehicle today. It rules.
10. Bentleys are great -- if you prefer to have a driver.
11. Is it just me or are there 800 models of Mercedes, all of which are either underpowered or overpowered?
12. McLaren F1's are very cool up close.
13. For endurance racing fanatics like me, being a few inches from the BMW V12 LMR was the highlight of the show.
14. That BMW X coupe thing is HUGE! It's really a monster. Surprised me. It's super ugly, too. It's daring, though, so you have to give them some credit.
15. Porsches are nice inside. They've come a long way since the 80's.
16. I pulled on the bumper of the Mercedes G-Wagen, and the plastic broke. I thought those things were supposed to be bullet proof!
Pretty cool.

Q45 seems very nice. Too bad it looks almost like a Sentra.
My favorite luxury seden is still LS430. After Mercedes "uglify" the S class, S500 is still my second favorite.
Maybe Acura can put something together? If it looks anything like RL, Honda would really need a design lession.
