You have a lot of overhead lines. Are some of those for electrified buses.

the overhead lines are a bit of a Japanese logic thing (or lack there of !!!!)

They put all of the power lines and phone lines above ground in case of a major earthquake, since if they were underground they could break ..... the drunken part of this logic is that they still break if they are suspended over ground, and they manage to put gas a water pipes underground ....
everything should be accordian tubing..... :accordingly:
