I received my leather console cover from rick on Wednesday. I let it flatten out on my pool table overnight and installed it this morning (Thursday). Rick provided great instructions with nice color photos; however, there are a couple of areas to watch for. First, I had a little trouble pulling the radio cover door back to install the front part of the cover under it.

A little prying and pulling solved that problem, even though I'm often easily discouraged by projects like this. Secondly, I had a little problem disconnecting the plugs for the flasher and the top switch. I'm sure you wiring guys won't have as much trouble with this as I did. There is a latch on each plug that must be depressed before the plug will release. Once this was accomplished, installation was easy, and I must say I'm very satisfied with the cover. It beats the hell out of the fuzzy carpet of the original. Honda should take lessons from Rick.

Doh! Remember those locks. They're on virtually every plug on every car these days. Sometimes you press them down, sometimes you have to pull the tab up to disconnect. Keeps them from comming apart at the wrong time.

I didn't end up having any trouble, but I was a little worried about the radio cover door. However, it went on easily and looks AWESOME!!! I couldn't be happier with it! Absolutely beautiful! Yet another job well done Rick!

Ditto--kudos to Rick for how great this looks and for the excellent instructions. My 12 year-old daughter, who loves my S2K but can also be my greatest critic, gave me all kinds of grief about how "obsessed" I was becoming with the car when she saw me taking apart the console--until she saw the cover installed, at which point she exclaimed:

"That looks tight!"

And it does.

The black/red looks very smart, or tight, indeed. It's the first picture I've seen of a b/r and I love the look of the red stitch.

This will help me make up my mind about the color I install on my own car.

Hey Rick, mine is still sitting on the dining room table waiting for some free time to install it, but I'm all excited about putting it on.

All this time I had assumed you already owned a stook, but after seeing a couple of comments to the contrary the past week I felt a bit sad for you. Now I'm even more amazed that you're spending the time, money and energy to create and debug these products, and you don't even OWN one yet!

My hat's off to you, my good man...

Rick, I installed mine yesterday and what a difference!! I love it! If there is one thing that you might change though, it would be the tape used. The sides on mine are not staying "stuck", I need to keep pressing them back on. Any suggestions?
