Default How many miles can you go with no wedges on the fuel gauge?

It's exactly 20 miles to work. I had 2 wedges on the gauge when I left for work, it must have been only an ounce more than one wedge because almost instantly I was at 1 and the gas light came on. Like 6 miles later I had no wedges. Damn that wedge went fast. I made it to the gas station near work so maybe I went 14 miles on no wedge. How close was I to running out?

BTW when I had no wedge I was driving like a granny. Speed limit all the way.

I was running late for work and forgot to look the exact number it was like 11.4 and I tried to round up my $$ amount but could only get another 32c or so, it was TOO full if you know what I mean. I wish I had looked at the actual gallons because it was the most I ever got. I'd say 11.5 or 11.6 (if that's possible).

I've run close to 50 miles after going 0 bars - or roughly 2 gallons.

Depends on how heavy your right foot is.

The fuelmeter in the s2000 is a weird instrument its somewhere between a normal fuelmeter and a "fuel-computer" as it will go up and down depending on how hard you press the accelerator.

Well I can do 90 in 3rd entering the highway is that bad?

I never got over 255 miles on one tank (no bars) usually I get 220 miles a tank.

What's the fuel capacity?

This is a pretty good question. I've driven pretty far on Zero bars. I think there's a whole lot mileage left after all the bars are gone. I drove about 40 miles after Zero bars one time and when I filled up, the pump stopped at about 11 gallons. Our car hold 's 13 right? So I'm assuming we have about 2-3 gallons of reserves after all the bars are gone?

I found that no matter how hard I drive my S I get around 21 mpg. Unless you take the freeways every once in a while, then you'll bump up to around 23-25 mpg. I drove from So Cal to AZ last month and clocked around 28 mpg. I agree, though, when that fuel light comes on, my ass better be by a gas station and not in the desert And the tank size is 13.2.

Honda is pretty conservative then. My odyssey's gas light comes on when there's 4 gallons left (out of 20 gal) so 1/5 of a tank remains.

That 13.2 isn't all usable... 12.5 maybe, but you'd be sucking fumes even then. The above mentioned trip, I think the tank took 12.4 or so.
