How much effort did you take to blow those members away?....

Nice housekeeping but your customer service score is "0".

Utah - looks like you got me mixed up as an admin on this board. I can only assume that you read a chat that 'Schatten' and 'Schatten blows' had.

Now, the issue you are referring to - Krazik removed users that never finished completing their registration process. How the registration process works, you are emailed a confirmation/pwd if I recall correctly. Those who never checked their email that they registered with, never completed the registration process.

These were removed to get a more accurate reading on the number of users on the board, and to conserve just a hair of space in the db.

Hope this explains things for you.

Thanks!

....

Sorry about the way I stated it. Late night up with lots of jet lag. Just seems like it is hard enough to get S2K owner's to find the board. Some folks are not as computer literate as others. Personally I would have sent an email informing these "valued" potential members of their error. But I'm sure you folks know best as I have know idea on the specifics.......once again; late night/jet lag.

no offense taken Utah. and I can understand about the jet lag - well, not really, but lack of sleep and crankieness from coding 18 hour days to push out a product, yea.

anyways, Krazik also noted that when a user applies on here, they have 14 days to respond, so that should be enough time to finishing registering - I'd hope.

I still am not sure who he is refering to. But yes, we had a large rash of users who either gave a bad e-mail or never completed registration, so I made a software mod that if you say in "limbo" (non completed registration) for more than 2 weeks your account gets deleted.

All one has to do to avoid this is
1) give a correct e-mail address
and
2) check thier e-mail after applying and click the link that was e-mailed to them.

It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to complete, so 14 days is a fair amount of time IMO.
