Default aftermarket/homemade endlink?

I searched, can't find the info I'm looking for. Can anyone point me in the right direction for replacing an endlink? I don't want to drop $60 for another OEM one. I saw a post about a "bearing store" but what exactly is that? I also saw "Aurora" but Google didn't help much. I'm guessing Home Depot or Pep Boys won't have what I need? thanks!

Try the following parts from http://www.mcmaster.com:

Male half of the endlink: 60745K64, $18.14
Female half of the endlink: 60745K84, $18.14
Jam nut: 93839A815, $7.83 for a bag of 50

This will make an endlink which is somewhat longer than the stock endlink, which may or may not be an issue depending on your application. I've heard about people hacksawing off the end of the female half in order to reduce the endlink height, but haven't tried it myself.

Steve

Edit: Don't forget some washers (98180A130) and locknuts (91831A130)...

try saner he sends the end links with the bar, maybe he will sell you just the end links. the ones he sent me seem to be working fine and should be beefy enough for you app.

Hey Vic, how did you solve the problem? Homemade or Saner or something else.

Thanks -- Tom ( thinking having an extra set of endlinks around would not be a bad idea )

Greg, if not the Gendron, it will be something else.

My OEM endlinks are rusted. I tried to get the driver's side endlink off (to install Comptech Bar) and the allen key rounded off when trying to get the nut off. Now I'm stuck with a loose OEM bar and a nut I can't get off.

I came across this thread and was thinking, "maybe it's time to upgrade endlinks?"

Worth it? Or not? Majestic Honda sells endlinks for ~$37 including nuts. The Mcmaster-Carr Homemade endlink is about $45.

1. Anyone want to sell me their stock endlinks (with nuts)?
2. Anyone have an opinion on whether the Mcmaster endlink is worth the difference?
3. Any advice to the "adjustment" part of the "homemade" endlink? Better yet, any pictures?

Thanks in advance!
