August 9 - Supermeet drives revisited
I'm planning on spending the day driving around the great hilly, twisty roads that Wei-Shen took us on during Supermeet. There will be a few people from Daytona, that I met on FLSCC.com, who will also be joining me, and of course, S2KI'ers!
The plan is to meet up as follows...
WHEN - Saturday - August 9th - 9 am
WHERE - Publix Supermarket at Summer Bay
17445 Highway 192
Clermont, FL 34711-7016
There is a good car wash at the gas station there.
WHAT - some great drives in the areas best twisty, hilly country roads. More fun than any roller coaster. We literally spent hours driving around the backroads here. Make sure your tires and brakes, as well as your car in general, is in top condition. Seriously people, these roads will have your fingers frozen around your steering wheels. Passengers will have sore legs from mashing an imaginary brake pedal. So plan on having more fun than you thought was legal, but please be safe.
If anyone has FRS radios and or GPS units, please bring them as they are definitely helpful. And cameras to capture all the fun.
We'll break for lunch somewhere, probably someplace cheap with a good parking lot off 192.
Please post your interest here, and hope to see you there.

If I'm not out of town on business, I'm in for another run on those roads! We had a blast running those roads over the 2 days at the supermeet! I'll let you know for sure probably by the end of this month.
Don + Cynthia Tentative for now

Let me see if Sandy and I can swing down to St. Pete that weekend, etc. so we'll have sitters for the kids plus be closer to the drive site. I'd say we're tentative at best if I had to bet today but I know the roads are a blast.

Chiung - is this open to other roadsters, etc. or do you prefer just s2ks? I ask because my in-laws in St. Pete just bought a '93 Miata and I bet my father in-law would have a blast with us. Of course, then we'd have to work on another family member to watch our kids since they'd be with us???
