Default Bolt recalls and other issues....

Have anyone heard any news about the bolt recall ever coming to AHM? I think its humurous we keep hearing more and more about new issues and problems with the earlier drivetrains that lead to complete failure of the car. Yet, AHM still denies any issues and disregards all responsibilty. Once again I will never own another Honda. Back on topic. Any insight is appreciated, thanks. Anyone who has had similar issues and does not mind sharing please feel free, and it would help if a VIN number is left so when presented to the lawyer they can take it back to AHM and stick it up their asses

for those whom dont know my issues....

1583 miles - 5th and 6th gear synchros, buzzing, and second gear grind.
-fixed as a courtesy, despite the TSB's. I was told the buzz and grind were both my fault despite TSB's out for both issues.

3000 miles - Clutch Failure
- Warranty Denied under driver abuse, despite my inquiry before failure and TSB.

5500 miles - Rear Differential Failure
- Warranty Denied, this is questionable, there are few cases of this, but it is not a unknown issue of the weak bolts in the casing of the LSD, and when the parts were examined the bearing failure was to blame not driver error, and Honda still denied and refund of fix.

12,500 miles - Second Gear Failure
-Despite complaining about the grind every scheduled oil change, they still denied me warranty once again and screamed driver abuse.

finally,
18,500 miles - Cylinder tapping Noise Developes
-Brought it into the dealer, they said it would go away after a oil change. Came back of course. Then they fed me some BS about a map sensor, once again ticking came back. So finally they showed their usual form and they said they believed it was my fault and wanted me to pay a tear down fee before researching further. I removed my car from the dealer (who wouldnt after previous experiences) and contacted a lawyer.

So as said if anyone needs any further detail from me PM me and ill be glad to speak with anyone on my experiences. Also as asked, please any similar issues I plead you to share the experience and the customer service that went with it.

oh one last thing, you flamers that are just going to scream that its not AHM fault in the over 2500 recorded engine failures, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE do not flame my thread. Thanks

Good luck all and thanks again,
-Dave

2500 complete engine failures??? i never heard it was that many, i just bought an 01 with 23K miles, do you think I should worry? I have started to worry after reading all the stuff on hear about cylinder 4 failing..... also.... was it easy to differentiate between that ticking and the normal valvetrain/timing chain noise or not?

2500 is a estimate. I reached that number by simply knowing how many people on here have the issues, and how many people
1. Are not knowledgable about this site.
2. Do not have a means of reaching this site.
3. Just havent disclosed their problems.
4. Were fixed (which im sure isnt many.)

2500 may be a extreme number but I am sure its a much higher number then it should be.

My initial post was inaccurate. The report I originally referred to was for the '02 model. But I did some more research and the S2000 was also rated in the top three for the 2000 model as well. I didn't do a search for the '01 report.

A lot of people come to this site for information. I think it should be representative of the community as a whole. Nobody is saying you didn't have a terrible experience, but to say that 1 out of 4 cars experience critical engine failures is just incorrect.

exactly, you said 2500 in america right? that is a little too extreme IMO because if there was 2500 in america alone we would have heard A LOT more about it.... and the fact of the matter is, I didnt even hear one word about it until I came to this board.... not from anyone on any other site... this was the first place I hear about the cyl 4 problems etc...I think if 2500 failed something would have been recalled besides the spark plug..

I agree they have the right to see "the goods" the car has, this thread was made to get others downfalls and misfortunes.
