Default We are LOSING in the C&D Poll!

I popped into

http://www.caranddriver.com/

to look something up and on the main page they have a poll:

"With which Blow Dryer would most want to attack a back road?"

(blow-drier = convertible). The choices are the ones from the recent comparo (which the S2000 did REAL WELL in).

Audi TT Quattro
BMW Z4 3.0
Honda S2000
Nissan 350Z Touring
Porsche Boxster

The trouble is the TT folks are stuffing the ballot box and are WINNING with 83% of the vote! Counting my vote the S2000 has only 5% !

We can't let this happen

If we get beat so be it - but not by the TT!

By 4:05 pm PDT:

With which Blow Dryer would most want to attack a back road?

Audi TT Quattro-83%
BMW Z4 3.0-1%
Honda S2000-5%
Nissan 350Z Touring-9%
Porsche Boxster-2%

TOTAL ENTRIES: 138666

Like anyone will believe that poll.

I just noticed the hose-heads that did the web page don't even set a cookie to see if you have done the poll or not.

Just go back to

http://www.caranddriver.com

and it lets you vote again, and again, and again.

Obviously the TT folks figured this out.

I think the TT is cute, but it is HEAVY and not real sporty.

Unlikely...There are almost 200,000 votes already, and they are at 86%.

It will take more votes from more people than are on this site to do it, and that assumes no further ballot box stuffing.

Just suffice it to say that the only important poll is the one taken from the poor TT owner AFTER he's blown away on that back road. That is, IF you want to wait around long enough to talk to him! It could take a while for him to catch up.

Someone probably rigged up an automatic script to hit the site repeatedly. Cthree could rig one so that every page view here generated a hit, but what's the point. Everyone knows that the TT is the last car you'd want to attack a twisty road with. OVerweight, bad weight bias, underpowered, etc. - not a bad car, just not made for twisty roads.

I tried emailing webmaster@caranddriver, but the mail got bounced. That's as much effort as I'll put into it.
