Noticed a clicking noise this afternoon. When i pull off slowly or start reversing i get what sounds like 2 very quick click noises from where sounds like the rear o/s wheel area, like ball bearings hitting each other, but very faint noise. Anyone noticed this or know what it might be?

Ian, I had this on mine not long before I sold it. It is the point where the drive shaft joins the hub, there are some splines on the shaft that shift about when then joint dries out. Not sure why it dries out but Guildford Honda took mine in for 1 hour, removed all the hub and greased it all - problem solved! They had one in a week before mine with the same problem so they knew what to do.

If your local dealer does not know what the problem is then get them to speak to the workshop manager/foreman at Guildford Honda, he knows all about it.

Had it checked by crown honda today, they couldnt find the clicking noise and said if it persists come back. I get on the road and it isnt doing it. Half way back I pull off from traffic lights and click! how annoying. I can definately hear something, or am I being paranoid

I'll also get it checked as mine does the same.

AE - I also go to Crown, do you have a technician there who is the only tech to work on your car ????

 

I seem to have all manner of noises coming from all over the place....I am assuming it's 'just the car'?

 

Reminds me when I mentioned that the clutch was slipping in traffic jams. Clutch worked fine when the dealers tested it so said it was OK no clutch (i.e. they didn't believe me?). Anyway is started to make the rattling sound soon after and they replaced it without fuss. I think they were a bit red faced after thinking I was 'trying it on' to get a free clutch.

I also always get their senior mechanic working on my car too which is thumbs up!
