Track/AutoX mileage and car failure information thread
I'm only on my second auto-x event, so my information won't help you, but I just wanted to throw my support your way, since I've been following your unfortunate predicament and feel AHM has NOT acted justly. Good luck.
1. 2001, purchased 11/00, 68k miles
2. Cat-back exhaust
3. 13 HPDE's, 1000+ track miles
4. 25+ autocross events for 150+ runs
5. Nothing yet.
Mobil 1 every 3000 miles, tranny and diff fluid changes every 15k or three track days, whichever is sooner. Never overrevved, temp gauge has never seen 4 bars.

Here you go Scott:
1. MY 2000; 3 years, 7 months old; 50,435 miles
2. Comptech foam/oil air filter, cat-back exhaust
3. 17 track events, 21 track days, 3,783.8 track miles
4. Approximately 23 autocross events, 120 runs
5. Comptech version 1 swaybar (replaced under warrantee)
It seems to me that Honda could argue two points. 1) Your driving stressed the part and caused the failure, or 2) Simply because you drove the car in DE events your warrantee is voided. If they argue the first point, Honda is basically saying that their premier sports car is not designed to drive on the track and that their marketing claims are fabrications. I don't think they could argue the second point either because, IMO, they must show that your actions contributed to the part failure, not simply that you engaged in an activity they don't condone.
Please keep us posted on how this case develops.

Hi Scott!
Don't know if my numbers will help much as they're pretty low but here they are:
1. 2002 purchased 03/02, 6,700 miles
2. No engine mods
3. 2 track events, 100+/- miles
4. 10 autox events, avg. 4 runs/event
5. Nothing broken (knock on wood).
Good luck with the arbitration! Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.
Peter
