Default Help! Can't get my rear view mirror back on

Thought I was making life easier by removing the mirror before cleaning inside the screen, but now I'm left with the mirror, a spring and a spring washer which I can't reassemble . Nothing in the manual, but I dare say you guys know the trick. It's either that or I go cap in hand down to the Honda dealer tomorrow.

Feeling pretty silly. Can anyone put me right?

On the plus side - the mirror fits perfectly into the 'secret' compartment...

Cheers,

Rog.

Just leave it off Phoenix, you're obviously not driving fast enough if you need to use it

Sounds good to me, and it'll improve the view in front too (esp. as I look out of the top part of the screen ). AND it'll save weight!!! Wonder what else I can 'accidentally' pull off...

I'd suggest not trying the steering wheel

Spare wheel, tool tray, airbox cover, passenger seat, all come to mind.

Thanks for the advice San. Maybe I'll leave the engine and wheels on too

So why haven't Honda come out with a 'tuned' version of the S for the UK yet? I suppose the Mugen bits are the nearest to official tuning kits. And why no White S in the UK? It is the official racing colour of Honda after all. Maybe they could combine the two in a racing special. It'd get my vote

The electric motors for windows and roof must weigh a bit. And then theres the carpets and sound insulation. Go for the stripped out version a la 911 CS. Honda could even copy Porsche and make us pay more for less...

Changing the exhaust can save 20Kg too. Having said that I reckon I could save 30+kg just by going on a diet

Yeah, that's the argument I use when thinking about spending extra on a bike which weighs maybe 1kg less... Might need the extra warmth for roof down motoring in the winter though
