Interest in Russell Racing Discount?
As some of you may recall, my husband took the high performance driving course from RR. After the class we talked to one of the instructors about the possibility of having a class, at a discount, for the Bay Area S2K club. He stated that he was already discussing having classes for car clubs with the sales department but they haven't moved on it yet.
My question is:
How many people would be interested in attending Russell Racing as part of an S2000 only class?
How much are you (realistically now) willing to pay?
The class is all day (8am -4:30ish). The morning is the skid car, slalom, and autocross, after lunch {provided at a winery} you come back to find the limits of your car on the track (with no cops in sight) and retails for $675. http://www.russellracing.com
If there is enough interest, I'll try to negotiate with their sales dept for a deal.
BTW: I get the first spot!

I'd love to have an s2k RR day... Not sure how much it too much though. I doubt they would come off the price $200 per person, but hey its worth a shot.
Don't tell the RR crew, but I think I'd be in even if the discount wasn't that much
.
Just think of how fun 10 s2Ks on a track would be
.

I was just about to sign up for the High Performance driving course at RR, then I read this thread!
Count me in.
It would be great if there was some sort of group discount. I was actually prepared to go in for $675, but if there's a way to get a discount...
By the way, I'm from Sacramento area but I work in Santa Clara 3 days a week...can I still be part of the Bay Area S2K club?

I know they do a discount every year at the SF Int'l Car Show, but I guess thats b/c its held in December. I think the discount I got was down to 595.00. Heck, its worth a try right? Good luck, it was SUCH a fun class. I learned stuff AND I got to drive on the famous Sears Point Raceway as fast as I can...what more could I ask for? =)
Sounds like fun. A refresher is always a good thing. Will they provide car(s) for people without? I would liketo get me sig other involved too. When she drives my stook she kinda scares me.....! Oh, and So is the final price we're shooting for again? I just paid 600 smackaroos to get my mf-10s rebent and plated....ouch.

Sorry, they don't have cars available for this course. There are a couple of options:
Let her drive the car and you can sit this one out
She can come and observe, for no cost she can sit in on the classroom sessions, however she wouldn't be able to drive (I did this, spent all day taking pictures and some video, most people would be bored out of their skulls though)
Rent a car for her/you to drive the course
Borrow a car from a very very good friend
