Default dc sports header

i just got the dc sports header installed and man it was a bitch..............
the ceramic coating was chipping which was failed to mention on the transition but not dents or dings on it which is good... so me and my friend got some of the engine enamel ceramix coating and coated it.
installed it and took it for a test drive.... i dont know why there is so much garbage about the dc sports but i think its good for the money... i felt a slight better pull from low end and good mid range and the vtec sounds a lot louder and aggressive... also many people said they dont feel a much of a pull but i fell the pull a lot more gradual and stronger not like a i kick in the pants feel but more of a stretched out harder kick in the pants...
well i hope that'll help some people decide on which exhaust manifold to buy..

if its not JDM or $1500, s2ki.com will hate it. regardless of what the dyno proves...

What dyno? His butt dyno? We've had a handful of people do real dyno runs that have proved the DC Header gains nothing. Including someone who was selling them at the time (Import Development). So if the gain was there, do you think IDi would purposely kill their own sales by stating that it wasn't?

Not much though I think it's only like 5lbs less. I think you are giving folks on S2ki less credit then they deserve. How many people on here are running around with AEM, Injen, 4IGs intakes? How many people are running around with Spugen exhausts? How many people have Rick's items or Muz? Mostly all cheaper alternatives to the JDM stuff.

That's 3 companies (Rick, Muz, Spugen) right off the top of my head that are in business due to S2Ki and it's members seeking a cheaper alternative.

i suspect more then 5lbs, cast iron exhust manifolds are like friggen boat anchors.

but still, good bit of truth in that...

though there are plenty of USDM haters around this place. cant swing a 4IG intack with out hitting 3 of them...

back to the topic

i thought DC sports SS header is like ~10lb less than the stock one.

mikecl713, do you have any other mods?

after i got my DC sports SS header, i think it's easier for me to start rolling from a stop and VTEC is a lot smoother. I can't really feel much difference for the rest.

but at least it looks a lot better and weight less

I just put on a Toda header. In this "How To" thread, I weighed both it and the stock one:

The stock one is 24 lbs. The Toda is 14 lbs. You really think a ceramic coated DC will be this light?
