Hell no, I would rip that thing out. If I couldn't then I'll get my bike and forget this car stuff ever happened. A slow world? Couldn't take that!

For younger drivers thats good. For me? Ha! I'll sing along to the annoying warning noise and keep on speeding.

Similar devices are under development in the UK and New Zealand that will report such infractions to roadside collection points. When you drive by them all the infractions you made since the last collection will be tallied for automated pay-by-mail fines.

Like the roadside cameras, if this proves to be lucrative you can expect this to be in place in the US quickly.

rriiiggghhhttt....... and I am sure you drive like a professional. You make statements where as you basicly classify all teenage drivers are dumbasses that can't drive and make stupid decisions. You think because you drive at a slower speed it is always SAFE?! How about the real deal is to teach kids to learn to drive defensivly, and isn't it up to the adults whether to let their children get their driver licenses at the age of 16?

All in all, I can see why you said what you said, but keep in mind that all teenagers around my age aren't dumbasses. Lets not make the type of statements you made again, cause all it does is make you seem like a dumbasses and a jerk that likes to sterotype people.

Cheers

What do you guys think? There was a topic regarding this type of product before, but I'm not so sure I'm comfortable with having a computer spying on me.
If this sort of technology were to be introduced my first inclination would be to rip it out, run over it and then burn it. We already have enough revenue raising devices on our roads.

Will never happen...infringement on our personal privacy.

Also, how would it differentiate between 30mph and 45mph zones and 55, 70, 30, 25, school zones (and the times they're in effect). Speed ramps, construction zones which temporarily alter speed, etc.
