The modification is not only cool but makes the car even more fun... why is it always about 0-60 and 1/4 mile times? You know that the differential won't hold up to repeated high-rpm clutch drops (the clutch won't either )

Just my opinion.

I merely got the SC for the hobby-nature of the install, to make mine 'different' than the other Stooks, and for the rush above 6k rpms... Obviously different strokes for different folks! If I was into drag strip racing, I would have gotten a Viper (I would have but my then Fiancee said 'No, you can't get that horrible ugly car')...

Hi Shaner

I am very interested to know what kinds of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times folks with Supercharged S2000s are running. I understand that an owner may not want to launch by revving and dropping the clutch. I'd be interested in times even with off idle launches.

We've heard about the problems folks with the SC install have had. I'd like to hear about the good part, but with some numbers to back them up. I had the pleasure of running vigorously but not flat out with my NA S2000 against an early SC 2000, and frankly, the supercharged car could not keep up. The reason was the driveability problems and bogging suffered by the supercharged car.

I've heard that Comptech has solved most of the driveability problems. Curious as to how much quicker the sc cars are, if at all.

well, I was there to witness Wesmaster's dyno... on a veyr humid day, it did 271 to the wheels. I suspect on a dry cool day there's a lot more. Plus he's got the stock exhaust, so I am sure there's more with a larger exhaust. This is enough to make me want to get one.

OK guys i have a SC S2000 and i am sick of people with out SC 2000's talking like they know something about it.. I drive it and i will tell you it is worth it.. and i will also bet money that NO Stock S2000 will beat a SC one.. end of story so I dont know how you beat a Super Charrged S2000 cause I have other friends that have raced me and i won by 5--10 cars and then i let them drive it and i drove theres Funny same result.. the 1/4 time and 0-60 are ok to know but if that is all you want to get a supercharger for then dont get one.. but i know that it is faster than the stock times. I would have paid double my car is like a V-8 now and i love it...

at thunderhill this past weekend i believe davepk's car was reaching speeds 15-20 mph faster than stock s2k's on the front straight.

Doesn't that seem a bit silly? I mean of course an SC S2000 is going to beat a stock one...

Unless the driver of the SC'd one is really, really bad.

I also agree with others, that the driver has a lot to do with extracting times at the strip...

A fun test might be a 60-90 time in 4th gear...

There're some ridiculous replies to this topic. Of course everyone know that the S/C'ed S will smoke the N/A S2000. NO NO question ask. So why the temper? For 5G, it better be FASTER. Don't start the whole argument about, *if you want a drag racing car, go get a mustang or v8*. If you don't want to go faster, why in the world would you get the Superchager? 1 member mentioned that he just like the hobby of installing the thing. So is all of you bought it for the same reason? You get the s/c so you can smoke your friends car, car on the street, car on the track, or just OTHER CARS. Some people just want to simply know what the ET time is for the S/c'ed S. How hard is it to stop by the track? What is the video tape going to show? Environment on the street is not always the same as the conditions on the TRACK. But it's your car, test it or not it's your option. I'm just like many other, curious to know what it does, but I'm hoping that I don't have to wait for one and test it myself.
My 2 pennies.
