Default Rode around in the trunk to find rattle/squeek noise!

Well, I took out the spare tire, and got cozy in the trunk while my husband drove the S around...all to find out where the annoying rattle/squeek was coming from!

Behind the passenger side, if you take the spare out, and you reach your hand up around where the seatbelt area is (coming from the back), there are two long things that stick out.

One feels like the sharp end of a screw, and the other is kinda flat. What are they?

When I pushed down on them, the rattle/squeek stopped!! Has anyone had this same rattle? As soon as I let go of the two thingies, the rattle started up again.

Suggestions? (besides ride around in the trunk holding on to the screws?)

Around here, a woman got thrown in jail for letting her kids ride in the trunk!

For some reason, I keep thinking about that one "Jackass" skit where that gagged & bound, half-naked dude pops out of the trunk and runs around town.
