Are you looking to have the intake through the vented hood?

oh no not through the hood, that would be suicide! But just a usual CAI like AEM or 4IG. Perhaps like the veilside hood, the vents are just crescent shaped holes in the thing.

A vented hood is not a problem for an AEM/Injen/4IG type of CAI. The only hole that you need to worry about is this one:

And this is only a problem if you park the car for extended periods in a VERY heavy rain. You're even OK if you are moving as not much water will get to that hole and whatever does goes down there, can easily be taken care of by a running motor - not enough water will soak into the filter as it is constantly being sucked away in manageable amounts.

Nearly every 2003 SVT Cobra guy has extensively opened up the factory functional hood vents (it is GRP) and added a cold air intake. Mine has never caused any problems, as the CAI is shielded.

Yeah, the breast hood...
HAHAHA But hey now! I happen to like it, I just hate the rear bumper, it looks like a dress from the back view. And the skirts, I would cut them off at the point where that piece begins "wrapping" around the rear wheel area. And than..... for me

thanks to everyone for the feedback! and thanks for the tip Xviper, I remember reading this thread a few weeks back too.
