My bad experience with Stuttgart Collision in Addison
I wanted to warn others about Stuttgart, where my S2000 spent all of August and September. Their shop and employees were very unprofessional, and I actually had to contact a lawyer just in case. I noticed a fellow member was thinking of taking his car there, so I could not hold off any longer.
Somehow, they scraped the bottom of my front bumper, put a dime size hole in my convertible top, 3 new scratches on the doors, black spots of paint all over my trunk, numerous scratches on the interior vinyl, lost screws and covers for wind blocker, scratched polished lip of 17" wheel. I 'visited' about 15 times to resolve all these problems. The typical situation was I would notice the 'new' problem and they would deny it. Eventually, they would half-ass fix it. Some examples: They took the blame for the top, thank god, but only replaced the front half with a custom made CANVAS material - didn't match at all, but nice work for custom. Some of you might have seen this at the September autocross. A new OEM Honda top was eventually installed. The front bumper was fixed with touch up paint, but is noticeable when felt or viewed in direct light. The wheel scratches were buffed and are no longer polished like the rest of the wheel lip. The black paint spots were wet buffed off the trunk, and now the paint is a swirly mess. I plan on fixing this myself.
I had to eventually give up, because any more time in the shop would cause more problems. The original damage was a less than 1 sf dent above the right rear wheel. The other guy's insurance company allowed 4 weeks for repair and would not pay for the rental car after that, no kidding. Stuttgart wouldn't pay for one either, since they were 'losing money' on my car. Unfortunately, I was referred to Stuttgart by several on this site. One or two mishaps that are fixed- OK - but there is a pattern at this place.

Thanks for the update. I would also like to retract my endoresement of Sewell Lexus. They take great pride in their shop but I'm here to tell you that I'm not impressed. Our Accord spent many weeks in their shop to come back with many-many problems. I won't go into all of the details but I will say that it came back missing parts, including the REAR SPOILER! It's just gone and they can't find it. I'd steer clear of Sewell.
well guys let me chip in here, I had work done by North Texas Nissan in sherman and after the car was supposed to be rdy they got it right back for body panels not aligned, color not matching and tear drops on the clear coat, they even overpainted the fake air inlets on a brand new bumper and painted the grill half way as well, to ice the cake my carpet was all messed up and dirty. I should get it back this week hopefully everything adressed ... we'll see ...
Apparently there are no consistently good body shops. I have heard good and bad about each of those and it took me five visits to Stewart's (which is highly touted and very expensive) to get my Mugen spoiler to an acceptable state.

I've got to get a dent repaired and my right front fender repainted. All I've heard are bad reviews about everyone.
Surely someone has had other good experiences at some of these places. Granted they all mess up from time to time... it's a matter of how well they take care of those issues, if they arise, that can turn the experience from bad to good (though obviously a bit frustrating.) I'm looking to get a quote this weekend as well, so any recommendations are welcome.
Thanks for any positive posts,
