Default I hate my life.

So i wake up to a nice day, about to go work, but instead everything goes wrong. Recently i put a nice alarm system on my car that shows on my keychain if someone is breaking in blah blah- im sure youve all seen them. The alarm also lets me start my car from outside it.

1. Walk in garage and start car with chain.
2. Car starts up, but in reverse with no parking brake.
3. car drives through garage door ripping door down and scratching the hell out of my car!
4. chase car down driveway.
5. hang over edge while car rolls over my foot tryin to pull brake, but i am successful.
6. confused- who do i call? Home insurance or car insurance.

I knew i should have never used that damn auto start.

How can you start the car without the key?? I thought you had to have the key in order to bypass the security system built into the car?? Am I missing something?? I guess you bypassed the clutch switch. I am actually very supprised that you got the car to start while in gear, I would of thought that the load from the car against the starter would make it very hard to start, but I could be wrong. (I have used the starter on an MGB when I ran out of gas right next to a gas station, I would not recommend you do this!!!).

w/ auto start, you have to use your spare key to let the car appear that the chip is in the car, which is located near the brain of the alarm. The car will start regardless if the brake or if it's in gear (most alarms)... but then this comes down to the quality of the installer. If done correctly and depending on the alarm, this can be prevented..

Damn... sorry to hear that. Good thing you weren't standing behind it!

It's an auto claim - the liability fixes damage to garage, the physical damage fixes damage to your car.

holy fack. Dude, that friggin sucks. You just convinced me to not go with the autpo start for a while, only b/c i know I would do something like this. Well hey, once the crappiness passes, you can laugh about this in the future. I initially said, got damn that sucks, and as I was reading it, I was picturing it. Had to be somewhat funny looking. Sorry if you find this in ill humor, but that's just me. I try to laugh about anything, especially things that suck hardcore. Hope you get it straightened out.
