Traded my MY01 for a MY04 day before yesterday...

Got the Rio Yellow, and I like the color just as much as Spa Yellow, if the two cars are not parked next to each other you really can't tell the differences between the two colors, other than the greater amount of flake in the Rio Yellow.

My first impressions are overall good about the trade.

The improvements that I have notices between the two cars are...

Rear Windows, I finally don

Congratulations on the trade. Of course, we all know that you won't be disappointed. Oh, and thanks for enlightening me in regards to the change in horn/tone. Wasn't aware of that!

Happy motoring.

Congratulations.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you trade your MY01 for a MY04? I'm not trying to flame, just curious.

Thanks for the Congrats...

Allkingz - My lease was ending so it was time to get another car. I was going to keep the MY01 but dealership made me an offer I couldn't pass...so I got the MY04.

congrats. I think it is a good move too. I wouldn't trade a 2002/03 for the 2004, but if I had 2000 or 2001, I'd trade for a 2004.

Here are some extra questions for you to consider, av8tor2:

How does the steering wheel "feel" in comparison to the one in the 01 (better/worse, thicker/slimmer, smoother/too smooth)?

Do you actually notice the extra turning to full lock?

Does it feel as if the heavier wheels require greater steering effort?

I read somewhere that there is suppposed to be a "more linear response to steering input." What's your take on that one?

Does the "smoother" ride provide any unwanted sense of isolation from the road?

Is the tranny any smoother, shorter, crisper?

Can you actually detect any extra elbow room in the 04? (I sat in one today and I can't.)

Is the in-dash clock readily viewable?

How about the new temp and fuel level gauges? Do you find them an improvement?

With the top up, do you find the NVH is less intrusive or noticeable? Is it a quieter environment inside the closed cockpit?

Thanks.
