32/32 psi balance between comfort/perf and 42/42 psi less than optimal traction .....
The manual states the recommended tire pressures of 32/32 front and rear probably for balance between comfort and performance. I've been riding on 42/42 but people have said it is way too high and that it actually decreases traction. What air pressures would provide the optimal spirited handling performance (I'm probably assuming between 32 and 42 psi) for the S2000? And another question - what air pressures would be optimal for use during inclement weather (rain/snow)? Thanks.
42 psi cold is too high. Autocrossers on S02s have suggested 38f/34r or thereabouts. I'd definitely lower the pressures and play around with the lower settings to figure out what works best for you.
32 p.s.i. all round should give you the optimum footprint for the tyre. Upping the tyre pressures will not only change this footprint, thus giving less grip, but will also dramatically increase your wear rate. Stick to the recommended pressures, it's safer and cheaper!!
Interesting that in three posts there have been three completely different views:
1. rear higher than front, both higher than 32
2. front higher than rear, both higher than 32
3. 32 all the way around or bust
I'm interested in seeing how this pans out!

32-33 psi (for all 4 tires) for me, works great so far.
i personally would not make the rear have more air pressure than the fronts since it 'll make it more prone to oversteer, and we all know the s2000 is known for its snap oversteer.
