Default Oh poo....why's my roof leaking?

It's clearly because of the heavy rain overnight:

This afternoon, I went to drive off, and the corner of the roof at the front of the driver's side window leaked. It continued to do so for about an hour. No sign of damage to seal.

Has anyone else had this? What did you do?
I'm just wondering whether I should take it to the dealers, because they won't be able to see it when it's dry.

Also, is it a sign for the hardtop to go on?

I'd try to replicate it after unlatching the hood then putting it on again.
Then soak the roof with a hose. That way you won't look a prat at the dealers.

Could just need some silicone grease.

I had this issue with mine and got it checked out at it's 27k service. I was told it needed a new seal which was ordered in and replaced under warranty the next week.

Hey San

I had the same, take it back to the dealers give them funny looks and abuse and drive out with new seals.

San, you don't need your hardtop at all.. I think in fact it's pretty worthless. How does

It's my hardtop that leaks a little, my soft top is OK

I also have a leaky roof - passenger side, so Thursday gets it in the face! Dealer said it was likely the seals and they'll take a look next time I'm over.

It only happens after a major downpour.

Mine does this when it is absolutely minging wet, like today. Had it last winter and got it sorted at the dealers, it was fine then, but its doing it again now

I think the service bulletin for greasing your seals recommends every 6 months... IIRC - which is quite unlikely
