I took my car to Honda Gillman Houston for...

- Seat belt TSB
- Clutch Rattle TSB
- CD Player repair.

The above items are seemingly fixed or serviced, but here are the consequences...

1. I can no longer shift into 1st or Reverse without unecessary force when I am at a stoplight. Sometimes it is very difficult to get into 2nd gear. My freind says they messed up on the throw out bearing when they put it back together.

2. My airbag light is constantly on, on my dash.

3. The mechanic left some scatches on the fender and the front bumper.

4. The soft top was forced closed, when in fact the top was not closed all the way. There was a 1/4 of an inch left for the soft top to reach the top windshield boarder...but the latches were bound closed. When I left Honda, I felt the rain come into my car. The latches were bound so tight...I could barely get it open. I later found a small screwdriver in the soft top well when I got home. Now...the latches rattle like crazy when I drive (I suspect they were stressed and now really loose).

5. There was also a screw driver that rolled out from under the driver seat.

6. There were srews rolling around underneath the soft top well. It was driving me so crazy, that I took apart the well this afternoon. There were plastic hooks missing and broken.

7. When I was hunting down the screws that were rolling around in the soft top well assembly...I discovered that a bolt was missing from the roll hoop assembly! The roll hoops are attached to the chasis of the car by bolts...I was clearly missing a bolt!

8. When I was ripping apart the soft top assembly I discoverd that they did not re-plug the cigarette lighter plug back in.

9. I found the bolt for the shift nob upside down.

The work was clearly rushed and executed without care...somebody loan me a flame thrower...I'm not kidding.

holy crap! this aint good at all. you didn't talk with anyone or inspect it on the way out? or was anyone there?

might want to call them up and say, well the mechanic left some tools in the car, as they rolled around along with all the loose bolts, so if you want those back you'll have to do better than just fixing my car.

Man,

I have had bad experiences with Gillman, not with my Stook though (probably cause I would never take it there). It took them 6 hours to do an oil change once, and they never complete the othere tasks under warranty. Was so pissed off with the service that I vowed to never go back there again, or buy anything from them again. I take my stook to David Mc David, they are top notch... Have never had a problem with them yet. Have not been to John Eagle (it's a bit out of the way for me). What do others in Houston think?

Dude, if you don't raise hell they'll just keep doing bad work. I would be so pissed if this happened to me. It's quite out of your way, but John Eagle has done great work on the car for me.

Those morons!!!

I would bring this up with the Service manager, make them fix everything and give you a loaner car!!! They cannot appreciate nice cars like ours. Honda has the worst service, this car should have been an Acura. We don't even get roadside assistants!
