We are having an improptu "OEM SHIFT KNOB MODIFICATION" clinic here at my house tomorrow morning ... (for an explanation of what we are trying to do -- see pages 7 and 8 of this thread: http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...31&pagenumber=8 ) it will start at about 9:30 a.m. and run until we either:

1) Successfully modify all OEM shift knobs that show up OR

2) Run out of drill bits or

3) Fail at our mission of knob modification and admit defeat.

(whichever comes first).

I even intend to invite one poor unfortunate who has messed up his x-frame install and needs a helicoil fix ... I am not sure if he will make here though.

All I ask is that you check in here on this thread so I know how many people to expect ... donuts and coffee will be here when you arrive. If it runs to lunch then a pizza lunch is ON ME here at my place.

So -- there is such a thing as a free lunch -- come on down !!!

OK, I will be bringing...My knob, drill bits, 10mmX1.50 tap(maybe two or three), vernier gauge, special round pliers to grab your knobs (did I just say that), dremel moto tool if we need to de-bur. Eliot, do you have a bench grinder, I can bring if you don't have(for sharpening bits), or an air compressor to run an air dremel? If not I will come up with something...
